This gargoyle was born in Finland, January 1978, right in the middle of coldest and darkest winter. Heavy metal was pumping in my veins right from the start. I was already listening to Accept, Kiss and WASP when I was five or something. When I was in fifth grade I discovered a band called Iron Maiden. I was sold! I was listening to Maiden exclusively for couple of years. I refused to listen anything else! Then for some reason I found Priest. My taste of music has been widening since. I have all sorts of music in my cd collection and hard drive, from classical to Spanish guitar music. Nonetheless I still mostly listen to heavy metal.

Music is very important in my life. I listen to music all the time. And I’m one hell of an air guitar player, too! When I was fifteen or sixteen, I unintentionally scratched a hole in my pants when playing air guitar! Really! :) Just imagine how long you’d have to play air guitar with just your fingers, and scratch a hole in jeans! I can’t play any instrument. I’d really like to sing, though. But I suck at it :) It’s pretty hard for you if your idols happen to be Bruce Dickinson, Rob Halford and Ronnie Dio. So my standards are a bit too high I suppose. My favorite bands are Maiden, Priest and Dream Theater. But of course I listen to lots of other bands also. There are so many brilliant bands out there, so I’ll only name those three.

I’m also one of the guys from the very first Suominurkkaus (Jos Se Ketään Kiinnostaa…). First I was known as Concrete, then Hedwig and now Dr.Metal. Unfortunately I’ve only once had the chance to attend to the infamous Suominurkkaus meets. That was when we all went to see Priest in Helsinki, 2001.

In “real life” I’m studying in medical school. I like watching movies. I’m a goalie in floorball. I’ve also been snowboarding since ‘90. Nowadays I only go couple of times a year, though.
