| The hideous creature known
as "Captain Scurvy" has dwelled the earth since the year 1975,
when he was born in the cold and forsaken land of Finland. As the little
captain's mother worked as a psychiatric nurse, Scurvy spent his few early
years living in a mental institution - and even though his parents somehow
managed to take the captain with them when they moved to another town,
those first years of Scurvy's life might explain something about his later
character.
The years rolled on and as if mocking the laws of nature, Captain Scurvy reached the harsh embrace of adulthood. Scurvy, also known as "Kassu" (meaning "he-who-plays-air-guitar-ridiculously" in ancient finnish language) started, driven by some unholy force, to study the secrets of graphic design and after graduating, he became a teacher of the same subject. In the year 2001 Captain Scurvy came across a group of mad flagellant monks called "Suominurkkaus (JSKK)" and joined their ever growing army of madness to spread the word of Judas Priest and Heavy Metal to the world. Scurvy's favourite music ranges from hard rock to heavy metal - death/black metal is too scary for him and nu-metal makes him go berzerk and hurt himself, but within the boundaries of "traditional metal" Scurvy feels right at home (and that makes sense as his home is crammed with such CD's...). When not listening to music, Scurvy plays floorball or football, tortures his friends or sits quietly in the corner picking his nose. |
