There are times when I listen to black metal, when there is no other style that works better to clean my head. And then there is times that I can`t listen any black metal at all. Now it`s time for some Emperor again...

I have listened to this album these days after a long time. Sadly and shamely I have to tell that I sell this album and now have only burned copy left. Again it shows, how strong a BM album it is. One of my favourite of those I`ve heard.

Emperor was/is band which can say, that they dominate chaos in music. Music is chaotic, but still band controlled it. Tracks atmospheres change and the music is living all time. Listen like Ensorcelled By Khaos and you'll know what I mean...

This album works well when you want to escape reality, you are frustrated or when you just want listen some harder metal...put the phones in head, forget all and let music take you into the another dark world. Ye Entrancemperium, Thus Spake The Night Spirit and With Strenght I Burn are tracks which convince band strenght. Tracks mentioned before are fine live too. I have "Emperial Live Ceremony" live and bootleg from Finland called "Live In Frostland". Bootleg quality is quite poor, but still great item for collection. And especially, when it`s recorded in Finland.

One positive thing for a Judas Priest fan like myself is Ihsahn's other band Peccatum's Blood Red Skies cover. Quite different than the original, but great JP honour.

Back in ATTWAD... The album starts with "All Svartr (The Oath) and ends with The Wanderer's instrumentals parts, and between these everything is fine metal. I can only give full points for this masterpiece.
