"The Metal God is back" says album cover sticker. And it`s true. 2 years after industrial Two project Rob return his roots in heavy metal. And when you look album cover, there is leather & motorcycle like old Judas Priest days! First track Resurrection is Painkiller style and Rob use his high falsetto again so high and powerful that is very hard to believe that singer is 50 years old, when he made this album! This is first time after Painkiller, when he sings this style. Many JP fans has waiting this long time...hear Rob singing simple heavy mteal again. And Rob don`t disappointed. 2nd track Made In Hell is 100% metal too. For example Resurrection track lyrics tell about how metal is very important for Rob. And there is some innuendos to his want to join Judas Priest again... I mean this part... I walked alone into a Fight Holy angel lift me from this burning
hell Silent Screams & Slow Down are my favourites. Silent Screams is not just basic style song. It`s slowly growing and sounds incredible good. I think this is little same type like Bed Of Rust is for Rob previous Voyeurs album. Nighfall, Twist & Temptation are good too. But then there is weaker tracks also in this album. One is The One You Love To Hate. Even there is Bruce Dickinson with this track I don`t care song too much. Locked And Loaded and Drive are other that I don`t care. Cyberworld and Saviour are good, but nothing special. Silent Screams, Slow Down & Resurrection raise a lot this album in my mind. I really like Rob voice in Slow Down. And it`s great place just after fast Cyberworld. These works great also after Resurrection released Live Insurrection live album. You can find all 3 tracks at that release. Because for these 3 tracks I give 4 points. Otherwise I gave 3 or 3,5 points. Overall even inc. few fillers, this is strong comeback in metal. Japan pressing includes 2 bonus tracks Sad Wings & Hell`s Last Survivor. Personally I replaced Drive and The One You Love To Hate these Japan bonus. Finally one positive info for all vinyl fans like myself...Resurrection is also released as gatefold vinyl pressing.
