Songs about girls' feelings written by boys. Crucify My Heart makes me feel uneasy, sure as hell I feel embarrassed even when I’m listening to it with headphones. It’s practically like reading a teenage girls’ magazine. Soft & cheesy songs about relationships from the female view-point. And it bothers me how calculated the album sounds: It’s obviously directed to the masses of young boys dreaming of romantic closeness of a woman, all covered up in phlegmatic hard rock. Tanja’s voice - although it's by no means among the worst I've heard - is full of honey, syrup and, on the other hand, dumb youthful pride and hardness; guitars are murmuring along the latest fashion; and me the whole sweet pourage only takes on the verge of puking. There are some OK moments on this album, though. The song on the single, Don’t Touch The Flame, is a good-quality hard-rock track with an unbelievably catchy chorus. The singer sounds a bit amateurish in that song, but that only increases the freshness of the song. Also the song Better Days isn’t too awful. The basic essence of this album bothers me. I dislike it when men write feminine songs for women to sing, there’s something disgusting in it. It’s like you were just about to kiss a girl, and then you’d realize that behind the pretty face somehow glows a face of a butt-ugly, hairy man.
